This is the 1965 Gillig Tour Bus that was used by the Greatful Dead between the years 1967 and 1985. The bus was originally used as the sound tech bus, the sound crew and equipment were then unloaded for the concert and the bus then became the party and leisure hangout for the band. All of the original furnishings and decor have been preserved. The ceiling is lined with hundreds of vintage rock posters from artists like Jimi Hendrix, Janis Joplin and others who visited the bus and used it as a hangout between sets. Other notable guests include such bands and artists as Jim Morrison and the Doors, Canned Heat, Grace Slick and Jefferson Airplane, Creedence Clearwater Revival, and many others
