Wayne tells the tale of how the storied Miss Belvedere found its home at Historic Auto Attractions. Miss Belvedere is also known as the time capsule car. Buried in a concrete vault in Tulsa, Oklahoma for 50 years.
Its trunk was filled with items from 1957, lowered into the vault, closed up, and buried. In 2007 the whole country waited in anticipation for the revealing of the car.
What they found, no one expected. The car was to be given to the person who was closest to guessing the population of Tulsa in 2007 when they submitted their guess in 1957. After that person's family had turned down the car, Miss Belvedere had nowhere to go.
It wasn't long afterwards that Wayne got a phone call. And as they say, the rest is history.
